Welcome to the “Trout Fishing Capitol” of Arizona! It’s been said that some anglers catch their best fish by the tale– but not in Greer.
Greer and the White Mountains are home to some of the best trout fishing in the West. Whether you are a novice (worm and bobber), intermediate (power bait, Zebco and a beer), or seasoned fly fisherman (tie your own flies), Greer offers a veritable cornucopia of fishing opportunities.
Little Colorado River
Our cold crystal clear streams and lakes are simply teeming with Apache, Rainbow, Brown and Brook Trout. Fish along the meandering Little Colorado River, or just two miles from Molly Butler Lodge you can cast your line at Greer Lakes, which represent over 200 acres of serene fishing heaven.
Want to increase the odds that your actual catch will beat anyone else’s stories? Within only a 30 mile radius of Greer there are over 630 miles of streams/rivers and 22 additional lakes. With odds like that it’s not likely you’ll need much assistance, but if you haven’t been out in awhile and want some pointers call one of our recommended professional anglers for some one-on-one time.
Oh, and if you find yourself short on supplies, The Lazy Trout convenience and grocery store will have just what you need! They are located right on 373 as you enter the village of Greer and offer:
+ Beer, Wine, Liquor
+ Fishing Gear & Bait
+ Basic Groceries
